Caleb prints his own money

So Caleb comes up to me and says: "Mom come and help me with this money!"

I say okay and I walk into the kitchen where he has a piece of paper with drawings on it.

He exclaims: "See I'm making 100 dollar bills for everyone! Okay, now you draw the back of it.
In the middle here you draw a jail and on the side you write 100."

I ask:"why is a jail in the middle?"

He says:" Becuase on the real money there is a picture of a head on the front and a jail on the back."

"Oh, honey that is not a jail on the back." I reply.

"Oh. I thought it was a jail because that is where you go if you steal 'em."

Makes sense to me.

He finished the level for 2nd graders. Woot! Woot!
Off to the Dells we go to celebrate. Thanks agin Grandpa Paul for buying this system!
It has been a BIG year for Caleb.

I will be nice to you......

This is a picture of the note Caleb wrote to his brother Nathan. I did not help Caleb with this at all. He did this all on his own.
It says:Nathan, I will be nice to you if you be nice to me.

Hmmmmm.

No Surgery Recommended!

John and I would like to share a praise with all of you.

We just received a call from the UW Pediatric Cardiology Department.

Nathan’s case was reviewed by a team of Pediatric Cardiology Surgeons this past week.

The surgeons unanimously concluded that no type of surgery was recommended for Nathans' Aortic Valve at this time.

Although his pressure levels on his EKG’s and Echocardiograms remain in the severe range, there is no signs of ventricular damage.

Because his pressure levels have remained consistent for 18 months now, they feel he still has time before any surgery will be needed. We will return for a follow up visit in May.

Obviously, we are rejoicing in this “no surgery news” for our 3 year old son and wish to give glory to the Great Physician, our Lord, for this report.

Pretend Play

Do you ever want to escape reality and pretend like you are a super hero? Sometimes I do.

But my children want to on a daily basis. I don't think they are trying to escape reality, I think they just want to be super.

It doesn't even matter what kind of super hero. Sometimes Nathan pretends to be a super football player. Other times he is Batman. But recently we got a package from Aunt Amy. Much to our delight the package contained loads of capes and a dress up clothes.

Here is a great video clip of nathan dressed up as a jedi from Star Wars. Notice in the latter part of the video he even has the Star Wars lightsaber noises correct.

Thank you Amy and Tyler, we shall wear them till they are falling to pieces.
